ABOUT ME
My name is Shahzaib Paracha, but you can call me Shah. I’m a Game Developer based in Vancouver, specializing in Audio Design and Implementation. My focus is on creating high quality audio assets and seamlessly integrating them into interactive experiences, while also bringing a broad set of multidisciplinary skills across game development.

I usually spend my time experimenting with various audio plugins and recording original source material for libraries and learning about new audio tools. Along with asset creation, I’m proficient in audio middleware, game engines and a bit of scripting languages, giving me both the creative and technical range to bring worlds to life through sound.

Sound has always evoked emotion for me. Rather than simply placing sounds to match visuals, I approach sound design as a way to help listeners feel specific emotions. This inspired me to pursue a career in sound design. The challenges each project brings, along with the constant learning curve, are what keep me passionate. Every project teaches me something new, pushing me outside my comfort zone and inspiring me to create something fresh and unique.

One thing I truly enjoy about this field is the collaborative aspect. I thrive in environments where I can work with colleagues who are equally passionate about creating something great. I love bouncing ideas around, learning from each other, and growing together. I believe that everyone has something unique to offer, and that’s what makes collaboration so valuable.

When I’m not working on sound, you’ll find me playing chess, guitar and gaming (of course!), or exploring new cuisines from different cultures.
